Be Part of the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter
If you want to be part of the UK Dog Charter and use the logo to show that you support a modern, progressive, ethical movement to help the UK’s dogs and their guardians, there are three ways you can do it.
For Individuals
If you are a behaviour or training professional, you can only come under the UK Dog Charter banner by joining and becoming accredited by one of the existing membership organisations. They provide training, support, oversight and accountability to their members which is at the core of the Charter.
For Training or Behaviour Organisations
If you run a training or behaviour organisation who accredits professionals and provides ongoing membership, and your methodology and ethics align with the UK Dog Charter, you can apply to become a Standard member here. By doing this, you can display the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter logo on your website and social media, and in turn have your logo and link displayed on dogcharter.uk. You are not eligible to apply for a Supporting membership.
For other Dog Training businesses and Clubs
If you run a training or behaviour business but do not currently accredit your professionals or provide ongoing membership with CPD, even if your methodology and ethics align with the UK Dog Charter, your business is not eligible to join the Charter directly. However, individual trainers within your organisation can still benefit by joining one of the existing Charter Member organisations.
For other companies
If you provide products or services that support the training or behaviour industry, and your ethics align with the UK Dog Charter, you can become a Supporting Member here. By doing this, you can display the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter logo on your website and social media, and in turn have your logo and link displayed on dogcharter.uk.
